Community Sharing (CS) will be building a new home in 2021! Since we began serving families in 2004, Community Sharing has moved multiple times. Each move has been challenging not only to clients but in working to maintain our strong volunteer base. With incredible community spirit and generosity, the Highland Township Board approved the use of township property on Beach Farm Circle, near the Township Library, for CS to build a new facility. (See Spinal Column Dec story here, property approval update here and site plan update here.)
Community Sharing's Board of Directors is currently pulling together building plans. Helpful community citizens are working alongside CS volunteers on land preparation, site planning and the necessary associated drawings.
While many of the details for the design of the building are being worked out, we plan to design a space that will meet the needs of our clients and one that will bring pride to our community.
We are grateful to the many residents from the communities we serve who have already volunteered to help. We have designers, builders, project managers, fundraisers and various others already on-board. We anticipate reaching out to our supporters in the near future and will keep everyone updated through Face book and our website. Be assured, we will continue working hard and hand-in-hand with Highland Township.
Construction will be a major endeavor during the year, but we want to assure both our clients and supporters that our doors will remain open so we can assist families in need. We know we will succeed with your help and support. Please send us a note if you are interested in being part of this exciting project.
Thank you to all who have supported us with your kind and encouraging words. Stay tuned!
