Here's How to Determine Your Eligibility


Assistance is available to eligible residents in the Huron Valley School District. Meeting the financial guidelines below is required.

How to Register for Assistance


Please bring the following items to Community Sharing:

  1. Drivers license or Michigan ID

  2. Proof of residency (such as rent history, utility bills, current lot payment receipt or other approved documents)

  3. Birth Certificates for all family members requesting assistance.  Social Security cards are acceptable if birth certificate is not available.

  4. Income documentation for all family/household members 18 years or older.  Pay stubs, social security statement, DHS grant letter, unemployment record, child support certificate or income tax return.

  5. Pertinent eviction or shut-off notice if requesting financial assistance. Bring any relevant documentation pertaining to the emergency situation.

Other Services for Families & Individuals In Need

Community Sharing is a registration and distribution site for the following programs.

Focus: HOPE
Low income seniors, 60 years and older, who are eligible for Focus:HOPE may use Community Sharing as their pick-up site.  

The Emergency Food Assistance Program
TEFAP is a program of the U.S. Department of Agriculture which provides additional food, on a quarterly basis, for Community Sharing clients. 

Gleaner's Mobile Food PantryFamilies identified by Huron Valley School District can receive food from the Gleaners Mobile Food Pantry, via Community Sharing, through the School Voucher Program.
